We had already known that 1970s Wonder Woman Lynda Carter had spoken with producer/writer David E. Kelley about the new Wonder Woman TV project, but what hadn’t come out before is that they had talked about doing something for the pilot, which is now filming.
“I talked to David [E. Kelley] about doing something in the pilot but with my new CD, Crazy Little Things coming out in April and touring for the album, we couldn’t coordinate our schedules,” Carter said in an interview at THR, “but you never know what will happen in the future. Stay tuned!”
Guess that means we won’t be seeing Queen Hippolyta in the pilot? *wink, wink*

Well it is a real shame that Lynda Carter couldn’t be in the pilot, but clearly there is the possibility of her turning up, ostensibly as Hippolyta, if the show goes to series, and good for her, she is doing what she loves with music. She was such a class act with her comments about the new show so far, and she has retained her striking beauty, would love to see her as the Amazon queen.
Lynda should be Queen Hippolyta!!!! I can’t wait to see the Amazons.

Well…what if she played a Wonder Woman from an alternate universe? Kind of like what happened in Infinite Crisis.
Douglas Nelson has a great idea here. How cool would it be if Wonder Woman (Palicki) got involved in some sort of continuum crisis and wound up teaming up with her alternate earth self played by Lynda Carter, reminiscent of the aforementioned scene from Infinite Crisis, but with elements of the original cross-world Flash team ups. It would be so epic. The only problem is I think this idea is too good to come true! Well, if they have Lynda Carter as Hippolyta I am there with bells on, but just thought I would shout out what a great idea I thought Mr. Nelson has. This line of thinking does have me hoping though, that if Lynda Carter plays Hippolyta, that elements are included from the John Byrne stories where Hippolyta was Wonder Woman in World War II. That way the show can pay homage to Wonder Woman’s wartime roots, and Lynda Carter can appear as not only the Amazon queen, but also the original Wonder Woman.
