The April 11 issue of TV Guide Magazine, featuring Smallville’s Tom Welling and Erica Durance, has an added bonus for fans of the new Wonder Woman – a photo of Adrianne Palicki as WW in the sidebar!

There is a half-page photo of Adrianne in action as Wonder Woman (really a photo from the recent Hollywood filming) and it mentions that “in addition to fighting villains, like Elizabeth Hurley as Veronica Cale, she’ll search for a way back to Paradise Island.”
To the left you can see Wonder Woman’s greatest TV Guide cover of the 70’s, at the height of the popularity of Lynda Carter’s WW series.
Cool, I like the fact the used the traditional Armor, which made by Hephaestus, instead of current mocked by Puck version being used, for the cover.
Well what awesome news for Wonder Woman. I am so glad that this character is getting just some of the attention that she richly deserves. It has taken so long for her to get back into the live-action limelight in an age where comic book movies and tv shows are a burgeoning genre. This lag in exposure for Wonder Woman makes me think that WB lacks faith in the character’s profitability potential, yet this tv guide coverage proves something: people want Wonder Woman. She just has to be out there and people will snap her up. She changes her boots and the entire internet has a conniption fit. It made headline news on every network when she donned a jacket last Independence Day weekend. After spending so long on WB’s back burner it is great to see that not only is WB giving it a try with a show, but that the fans and the media are so avidly following the project’s development.
Is is just the cover or is there more? I’m dying to see this!
As I understand it there is a sidebar of Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman on the cover (which mainly features Tom Welling and Erica Durance of Smallville), and a half-page photo inside the magazine, the article mentions text so there must be a small story inside the magazine accompanying the inside photo. The pic accompanying this article is a tv guide from the late 70’s during the Carter run on the show. Groovy!
I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE TV GUIDE COVER. IT WILL BE INTERESTED TO SEE WHO WILL PLAY WONDER WOMAN’S MOTHER AND ARES GOD OF WAR. WILL CHEETAH AND SOME OF THE OTHER FAMOUS ALLIES AND VILLAIN WILL SHOW UP IN THE SERIES. IT WILL BE INTERESTED TO SEE HOW CLOSED THE WRITERS WILL CREATED THE CHEETAH WILL BE TO THE ORIGINAL. I JUST BOUGHT THE TV GUIDE WITH WONDER WOMAN ON IT. SHE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL IN THE OUTFIT. SHE IS THE FIRST OF THE NEW TV PILOTS THAT TV GUIDE WRITES ABOUT. DAVID E KELLEY IS A GOOD WRITER OF TV SHOWS. HARRY’S LAW IS JUST THE LATEST OF HIT SHOWS HE HAS HAD. MOST OF HIS SHOWS STAY ON FOR AT LEAST A COUPLE OF YEARS. SO I THINK WONDER WOMAN WILL BE A BIG HIT. I did a quick Google search and found the original cover with the article featuring Lynda Carter. The issue dates back to 1977 when Classic Wonder Woman was at its height of popularity. You can see the original cover and article here.
