Wonder Woman Pilot Update: Getting “Positive Reaction”

Nellie Andreeva at Deadline.com has posted the latest pilot update, and finally some encouraging news for Wonder Woman:

The biggest news out of NBC is that David E. Kelley’s WONDER WOMAN pilot has been delivered and it’s getting positive reaction.

Less than two weeks until NBC’s Fall 2011 schedule is announced!

Well this is awesome news. Hopefully Wonder Woman’s pilot is intriguing enough so that we all get to see how her updated story plays out this fall…

the tv series is gonna fail so bad…much like sarah connor chronicles, knight rider, the v, etc…reboots don’t really work too well on tv nowadays.

a ww movie would be much better.

I THINK THE WONDER WOMAN PILOT AND TV SHOW IS COMING RIGHT AT A GOOD TIME. WITH THE END OF SMALLVILLE AND THE SUMMER MOVIES OF BOTH THOR AND THE GREEN LANTERN ,SHE IS COMING AT THE RIGHT TIME. WAT WENT WRONG WITH KNIGHT RIDER AND THE BIONIC WOMAN IS 1. MOST CARS CAN TALK NOW WITH G. P. S. LIKE GADGETS AND 2. PEOPLE LIKED WHEN THE OLD JAMIE SOMMERS AND STEVE AUSTEN SHOWS USED SLOW MO TO ACT OUT THEIR POWERS AND THE SOUND AFFECTS THAT FOLLOWED. WITH DAVID E KELLEY BEHIND THIS SHOW IT SHOULD BE A HIT. HE IS A GOOD WRITER. I JUST HOPE THEY PUT HER ON A GOOD NIGHT! PREVIEWS OF THE SHOW SHOULD BE ON AT THE LAST EPISODES O MISS PALINKI’S OLD SHOW FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS ALSO AT THE MOVIES WITH GREEN LANTERN AND AT THE END OF SMALLVILLE SINCE WB HAS ALL THREE. ONCE AGAIN GOOD LUCK TO THE CAST AND CREW, MOST OF ALL MISS PALINKI AKA WONDER WOMAN.

    finally some good news
don’t want WW to end up like The Cape, especially because I love that show and I’m sad about the cancellation

I really hope it gets picked up.

I think Edward is right, is coming at the right time and there was in my opinion a need for Wonder woman kind of character on T. V.

Hope it gets better and better so we can enjoy it for a lot of seasons, maybe not 10 like Smallville but at least 5 would be a nice thing.

This news is quite a reversal, given that several media outlets have reported that NBC execs had lost most of their enthusiasm over “Wonder Woman” during the latter half of April. Perhaps the reported additional action sequences were filmed after all and had a positive effect on the story…or Robert Greenblatt might have been telling the truth when he said the traditional costume would be worn in at least one scene of the pilot (adding some sex appeal to the proceedings)…or Adrianne Palicki may have been a better actress than anyone expected, anchoring the pilot film with grace and poise. Now more than ever, I wish someone who’s actually seen the pilot will weigh in and let the rest of us know how it turned out. They don’t have to issue any “spoliers” if they don’t want to, but they could give some indication as to why they believe–as some NBC exces are starting to believe–that “Wonder Woman” has a fair-to-middling chance of working as an ongoing series.
