Lynda Carter Talks About The Failed Wonder Woman Pilot

In an interview with Mike Pingel at Examiner.com, legendary Wonder Woman Lynda Carter talked briefly about the pilot that never aired, but can possibly be found in places around the Internet if you care to look (but be warned, it’s not very good!)

“I didn’t see it, so I don’t have any opinion on it.  I’m just sorry it didn’t go.  It would have been nice to have Wonder Woman on TV again,” she said.

Hopefully someday we’ll see Wonder Woman done right for TV. Perhaps success for Arrow will convince the networks to give Wonder Woman another go – possibly with some more relatable writing and a better costume next time?

Lynda Carter Reveals Her Costume Preference; Plus, A Possible Cameo?

Lynda Carter recently appeared on The Talk, where she did the iconic Wonder Woman spin and talked a little bit about the new Wonder Woman TV show… including the costume.

Here’s a clip, courtesy of AOL:

Regarding the costume, Carter revealed that she did like her own costume the best. “They were trying to update with the way we’re all doing leggings now, and skinny jeans, so I think it’s kind of trying to do that.” With that said, Carter seems confident that David E. Kelley will do something good. “David E. Kelley is full of surprises, so you never know what’s going to happen,” she continued.

A MTV News report implies that – although not seen in this video – Carter has hinted that she may have something to do with the new series. “I’ve talked to David E. Kelley, who’s a brilliant writer, a number of times and we’re hoping to plan something. But I cannot reveal….” she is reported to have said.

Lynda Carter Spoke With David E. Kelley About Appearing In The New Wonder Woman Pilot

We had already known that 1970s Wonder Woman Lynda Carter had spoken with producer/writer David E. Kelley about the new Wonder Woman TV project, but what hadn’t come out before is that they had talked about doing something for the pilot, which is now filming.

“I talked to David [E. Kelley] about doing something in the pilot but with my new CD, Crazy Little Things coming out in April and touring for the album, we couldn’t coordinate our schedules,” Carter said in an interview at THR, “but you never know what will happen in the future. Stay tuned!”

Guess that means we won’t be seeing Queen Hippolyta in the pilot? *wink, wink*

Lynda Carter Thinks The New Wonder Woman Looks “Fabulous”

Now that the new Wonder Woman costume has been seen, E! Online’s Marc Malkin caught up with the “new original” Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, to see what she thinks of the new look.

“I think she looks fabulous,” Carter told him. “It’s a new look and, jeez, her body looks fantastic.”

Carter also told Malkin that she hopes people will give Adrianne Palicki a chance in the role. “You know, I’m very sensitive to the fact that she will be compared,” Carter said. “There’s no getting around it. It is what it is. I would hope that people would cut her some slack.”
